On February 18th at 6 pm. an exhibition of the Informal Artistic Group "S" entitled "Peeping"
opened. 7 of my new works were presented there. The exhibition closed on March 3rd, 2009.
"Peeping" follows the "World through the prism of sex" exhibition, where the artists try to pit
themselves against a topic connected to the human nature. But now the point of view is different. Whereas lately the tried to
look at the world, at themselves and other people through the prism of their own sex, the priviliges and limitations connected
to it, now they put themselves in a position of a peeper, a voyeur.
Peeping is encrypted in the human nature and is strongly connected with our curiosity. Every single person at least once felt
a temptation to peep something what was not meant for him or her. Many of us have yielded to this temptation but only several
had courage to admit it. Peeping is considered to be improper because usually it violates the privacy of another person.
Each of the artists from the Informal Artistic Group "S" has approached the subject individually, trying to put
oneself ina a position of peeper or a person being peeped, in each case exposing the embarassing aspects of the human
nature. The members of the Group in their works allow to be caught peeping or being peeped.

meet my Lodz

Although I wasn't born in Lodz, I accepted this city as mine. I moved here a dozen or so years ago and I stayed until now.
I fell in love with this city and still I use to find something beautiful here.
My photos are very personal. I try to show my own Lodz, places I like, interesting corners full of the past, even imperfections
which I found charming. There is no Old Town with a center full of horse-driven cabs and souvenir sellers, but this city has
its own, unique atmosphere. It is not as dull and ugly as the usual first impression, it just needs a closer look to earn our
appreciation. So -- come with me and meet my Lodz!
